The Hanging Garden is a suite of works exploring immersive and atmospheric approaches to floral painting. The collection draws influence from ancient stone carvings, decorative pattern work, and the late paintings of Claude Monet— particularly his water lilies and wisteria, flowers that appear to float and hang suspended in space.

Throughout the collection, florals dissolve into movement, layered color, and expressive brushwork. The influence of Vincent van Gogh can also be felt in the dark punctuation of form and energetic organic mark-making woven throughout the works.
